SOUL OR SPIRIT?
A definition of terms is in order.
SPIRIT=GOD=PERFECTION=ETERNITY=ONENESS=LOVE=JOY=PEACE=BEING=the REAL you
Soul=none of the above=imperfection=individuality=separation=ego=striving to becoming=who you think you are
That about wraps it up. (I know you were expecting more . . .)
One of the great misunderstandings of all time is this “soul” thing. We either gotta save ‘em or they end up in the dumpster, or, we are working really hard to perfect them. Neither is true. There is nothing to lose or perfect.
Let us once again refer to the Prodigal Parable.
SPIRIT=ONENESS=HOME with DAD (simply BEING)
Soul=separation=misadventure (striving to become)
You cannot improve on PERFECTION, but if you have forgotten you ARE it, you will be tempted to regain it, a la the “journey of souls”--the endless striving to become that which you already ARE--futility at its finest.
In the Prodigal Parable, the reference to the son being lost had nothing to do with losing anything, merely forgetting (who he was). You have not lost anything for which you must strive to regain. You have simply forgotten that which already is.
